Avedon Warhol Postcard Set

This postcard set was produced on the occasion of Avedon Warhol at Gagosian, Britannia Street, London, the first major exhibition to pair works by Richard Avedon and Andy Warhol. Among the defining American artists of the postwar era, Avedon and Warhol straddled commercial and fine art realms, producing portraits that became icons of the twentieth century.

This set of eight postcards in a perforated accordion-fold format with belly band features key portraits from the exhibition. The subjects include Bianca Jagger, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Monroe, Ezra Pound, Elizabeth Taylor, Mao Zedong, and self-portraits by both artists.
