Awol Erizku: Memories of a Lost Sphinx Hat

This hat was produced in 2022 on the occasion of Awol Erizku: Memories of a Lost Sphinx at Gagosian, Park & 75, New York. The exhibition featured a set of six photographs displayed in lightboxes and a mixed-media sculpture that represent the sphinx as a complex, cross-cultural symbol extending between and beyond ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Asian mythologies.

This trucker-style baseball cap features gold embroidery, a mesh back panel, and an adjustable snap closure.
