Baselitz – Academy

This book was published on the occasion of Baselitz – Academy at the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice, the first exhibition devoted to a living artist at the prestigious institution. This reader includes Italian translations of the essays from the English-language monograph, which traces the arc of Georg Baselitz’s extraordinary sixty-year career through his relationship with Italy and the academic tradition.

The texts include an introduction by Paola Marini, essays by Kosme de Barañano and Michele Tavola, a conversation between Baselitz and de Barañano, and a biography by Büro Georg Baselitz.
